2012,23 December 2012, Italy, Caldonazzo (Trento), Second edition of competition "NatalArte" 
Paolo Vivian won the art competition "NatalArte 2012." The event, organized by a consortium of economic operators "CentriAMO Caldonazzo" is sponsored by the Municipality of Caldonazzo. The second edition of "NatalArte 2012" presents the `works - painting, sculpture and installation of the 13 selected artists. The critics' prize is for Paolo Vivian`s work " Emotions of the party ". The artist explains his creation "My work is an explosion of emotions, a starry sky, a comet gold and expansion of joy with colored packs all around." The theme of the competition is "Christmas fairy tales." The award ceremony of "NatalArte 2012" a is on Sunday, 23 December, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the center of the town of Caldonazzo (Trento).

On 11 december 2012 at Bulart gallery, Varna, Bulgaria will be present the international curatorial project “Ecology of memory/random project” who collect the works of 20 artists from Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Switzerlans and Greece. Paolo Viavian will participates with a wooden sculpture. The presentation speech is by prof. Vladimir Ivanov. The curator is Dora Bulart.

30th September 2012, Italy, Sover (Trento), "The Way of Walter", presentation
Sunday, September 30 at Sover (Trento), by the initiative of the Municipality of Sover and on the occasion of the second anniversary of the death of alpinist Walter Nones will be entitled the Sports playground of the fraction of Sover. During the event "Remembering Walter Nones" will be presented to the public the monumental sculpture of Paolo Vivian "The Way of Walter." The work of porphyry is dedicated to the great alpinist, died on October 3, 2010 at Cho Oyu in Himalayas. The project is realized by Municipality of Sover with support of ELPPA Albiano and Porfidi Europe of Civezzano.

31 July 2012, Italy, Trento, Valle di Ledro, "LedroLandArt" project, presentation
Official opening of first stage of "LedroLandArt" project will be held in Valle di Ledro (Trento) on 31st July 2012 at 6.30 pm. Paolo Vivian presents his "Cow Show” - a large site-specific installation made by natural stones and iron. "LedroLand Art" is a new cultural project organized by Municipality of Ledro (TN). The artistic director is Massimiliano Rosa. The main purpose of the project is to create new land art parc. For his first stage ware invited the artists Alessandro Pavone, Corrado Rosa, Luca Degara, Matteo Boato,Marco Salvaterra & Milos Stojanovic, Paolo Vivian, Rossoscuro design, Viviana Pucher & Michele Filippi.

1 - 14 July 2012, Poland, Rabka-Zdroj, First International Stone Sculpture Symposium
The first international stone sculpture symposium was organized in the municipality of Radka-Zdroj, the district of Nowy Targ in Lesser Poland. The event will be held in the first half of July. The theme is "The Fairy tales from Mountain". The project is supported by Przyjazna Dolina Raby Assosiation and the City Council of Rabka Zdrój. Paolo Vivian was invited with artists from Poland - Piotr Bies and Jacek Kogutek , and Robert Bucek from Czech Republic. The four large sculptures will be placed in the city park. Opening of the event is on 1st July 2012.
18 -22 June 2012 , Italy, Alto-Adige, Cadipietra, Valle Aurina , III International contest for sculpture in wood
Paolo Vivian was selected for participation in IIIrd edition of International sculpture contest in wood which will be held from 18 to 22 June 2012 in Cadipietra in Valley Aurina in Alto-Adige, Italy. The theme is “The Children of Sun”. Organizer of the event is Touristic association of Valle Aurina with collaboration with Museum “Maranatha” in Lutago. In the event will participate artists from Italy, Germany, Estonia, China, Austria, Poland, Russia, Bulgaria and Spain. Closure of the contest and ceremony of awards will be held on 22 june at the City Hall in Cadipietra at 8.30 pm.
6 - 23 June 2012, Italy, Trento, Ledro, "LedroLandArt"
"LedroLandArt" is a new cultural project organized by the City of Ledro, Trento and it will be held from June 6th to June, 23rd. The works created by invited artists in the project will be the first phase of a development that will create the new park Land art in Ledro. The first works have already started down of the path that leads to Malga Cite in Valley Ledro. Paolo Vivian participates with an installation by natural stones and iron.
6 - 10 June 2012, Italy, Padova, IX Sculpture symposium by wood " Giovanni da Cavino”
From 6th to 10th June will be held in San Giorgio delle Pertiche, Padova IXth edition of Sculpture Symposium by wood " Giovanni da Cavino”. The theme of the event is „A life for life, generosity, the gift, the offering of yourself for others." The project of Paolo Vivian is titled "The symbol, the synthesis and the element”. The awards ceremony will be held at Multifunctional Hall in the town of Gavino on Sunday, 10 June at 9 pm .

Inaugurated on 17th May at 5,30 pm at the Palazzo Roccabruna in Trento, "Men and stone" exhibition is organized by District of porfido and stones from Trentino in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Trento. The exhibition is curated by the arch. Stefano Brigadoi. "Men and stone" tells a story of passion, tradition, knowledge and effort in Trentino - the land of stones . Paolo Vivian participates with "Composition" – an installation of wooden sculptures and natural stones by porfido.

6 May - 9 September 2012 , Italy, Trento, Vezzano, “GiardinArt – profumi e colori nel borgo”
From 6th of May till 9th of September 2012 in Vezzano, Trento Paolo Vivian will participate with three sculptures in the first edition of the project "GiardinArt - scents and colors in the village", organized by municipality of the town of Vezzano. In the forum many different culture events will collect attention of the audience. For first time will be done one artistic trail through 16 leading gardens.
Opening of the first edition of GiardinArt is on May 6, 2012 at 5 pm in the Teatro Valle dei Laghi, Vezzano.

The eighth edition of the International Fair of Contemporary Art in Bolzano will be held 16 to 18 March 2012. Paolo Vivian will presented in Kunstart 2012 by Bulart Gallery (Varna, BG). The works of Vivian are part of the curatorial project titled "Supermercato in Neverland - international project for art positive" . Vivian was invited by 8 prominent artists from Bulgaria, Italy and Germany.
"Supermercato in Neverland" searches an imaginary land where art is pure, where the artist and his audience still can dreaming. Neverland as a land for fairytales in urban reality.The dose of irony and sadness crossed with optimism and beauty. Digital prints, photographs, sculptures, paintings and street art objects create the parts of our journey to Neverland” (words from the concept ; curator: Dora Doncheva- Bulart)
Kunstart 2012 presented more of 80 galleries from 10 countries, with a rich program of events, meetings and conferences, which in addition to the exhibition hall inhabit various places of the city of Bolzano and Merano, in collaboration other institutions and cultural associations .

21 January - 31 March 2012, Italy, Trento, " One never goes so far", collective exhibition
On 21st January 2012 at 6 pm at Depero Hall in the Grand Hotel Trento is the opening of annual exhibition of FIDA-Trento (Federation of Italian artists, Trento branch). The title of the exhibition is "One never goes so far". The words are taken from a phrase of Goethe ("One never goes so far as when one doesn't know where one is going" from the his Letter to Carl Friedrich Zelter, 1812) and it`s the line that unites the different artistic researches today. Paolo Vivian presents his new work "Codes and intersections". The event is supported by Municipality of Trento, and it will last until March 31st, 2012. It was published a catalog for the exhibition.

Paolo Vivian was invited to participate in international curatorial project with title "exi[s]t>15 bulart". The exhibition noted 15 anniversary of Bulart gallery. Vivian participated with other 20 artists from Bulgaria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Ireland and Netherlands. The second part of the project is the book with images of the exhibition and interviews with the authors. the title of the book is "exi[s]t.the verbal self-portrait of the artist now".presentation will be in the end of january 2012.
