Paolo Vivian was invited to participate in the “20 x 20” artistic project, curated by prof. Silvio Cattani, started from 20 December 2020 at Palazzo Bortolazzi in the town of Vattaro (Trento). The event, organized by the municipality of Vigolana, in collaboration with the Museum of modern and contemporary art of Rovereto (MART), aims to build the initial nucleus of a municipal collection of works of art. The organizers want to undertake a path to delineate the city of Vigolana and its area as a new and important point of Italian contemporary art. This exhibition is the first initiative within a rich exhibition and educational program at Palazzo Bortolazzi, on the occasion of which was edited the catalog with texts by the mayor Paolo Zanlucchi, by the president of MART Vittorio Sgarbi and by the curator prof. Silvio Cattani. In addition to Vivian, the artists invited to the project are: Italo Bressan, Mauro Cappelletti, Gianni Pellegrini, Luca Coser, Paolo Dolzan, Ivo Fruet, Annalisa Filippi, Luciano Civettini, Romano Furla, Paola Grott, Aldo Pancheri and others.
Paolo Vivian, for the occasion, created two paintings , entitled "Risveglio Aurea” (Golden Awakening), inspired by the dangerous social effect of covid19. Vivian's works, guided by the black color, tell us not only of loneliness, pain and fear for the loss of freedom, but they give life to passion, hope and awakening, through the use of golden color and the symbol of the tree of life, significant of spiritual rebirth and evolution.
At the moment due to covid19 restriction the exhibition could be visited only online. Stay tuned for the updates. The project runs until next summer.

Paolo Vivian will create a sculpture, extracting it from a huge limestone of the place, adding a stainless steel element and it will be entitled "Abyss" inner path ". "The work brings to light what is accessible only to expert speleologists, giving artistic form to a natural element that recalls the harmonious and at the same time" conflicting "relationship between man and earth. As in a cross-section you can see the intrigue of holes and meanders that nature has been able to create in the rock over the centuries, thanks to the work of the water of the glacier and the stones, which like natural chisels have designed this underground path. The light reflected by the steel element recalls the glacier and the water necessary for the formation of the abyss, adjacent to Lake Lamar, which develops for a depth of 300 meters. "This totem connects man and nature, stimulating us to rethink our life style", says the artist of his project.
